D201 |
D202 |
A 20 sided die used mainly in table top board games. I bought this die at a garage sale and it has served me well. The die consistently rolled in the upper digits winning me more than one game. I took a picture the capture the caustic green color and bright golden inscriptions.
|
Another image of the D 20. This was taken at another angle as to better show the contrast of the color system of the die. Using elements like curves, contrast, vibrance, and color balance really helped bring out the overall beauty of this die. With the right angle and the right tweaks this die could rival the visage of a gem.

Franc 1 |
Franc 2 |
A gift from my grandmother. For my 15 birthday she gave me this golden franc. The time reads 1865 meaning the coin is well over 150 years old. I took this picture with the macro lens to attempt to catch the details and vibrance of the singular currency. I tweaked the vibrance and contrast and added a slight emphasis on the sides to really bring out the luxurious shine of this coin.
|
The other side of the franc, the person on this side is King Louis XVI. A prominent figure of france and the last french kings before the french revolution. I used the macro lens again to better bring out the features of this side of the coin, but getting the proper area to focus proved to be difficult. I tried iron out the sides of the coin, clear up the picture but getting the proper area of focus was difficult.

Black Diamond |
Fechette |
Black Diamond is the name of the make of by bow, the 'class' of compound given by the company that made it. The poundage is currently 30 on the bow, 20 below the respected hunting limit so I cannot go bow hunting just yet. I decided to take a picture of this to show my appreciation for a well liked tool, and to capture the perfection of a modernized ancient weapon.
|
Flechette means 'Dart' or 'Arrow' in french. In english it is the feathers or fins on the end of the arrow. I had broken most of my arrows that I had. I had to crop this photo as it appeared to be a more still life than an object. I used the vibrancy in certain areas, specifically on the fins to create a larger difference between arrow the background.

Gem of the Pharaohs 1The Lapis Lazuli was a favored stone used by the ancient egyptians, hence the name. This stone is also the crowning item in my rock collection from elementary school. I cranked up the vibrancy on this image to bring out the contrast between the gold flecks and the deep blue color. Using the macro lens was not the best idea for a perspective like this as the field of view was smaller than that of another lens.
|
Gem of the Pharaohs 2A different angle of the Lapis Lazuli. I used the vibrancy, contrast, and color balance to bring out the 'royal' colors of the semi precious stone.

Saphire Sades |
Blue Toothed Sade |
The bluetooth head phones I use. The two primary colors work very well together, making an appealing product. I messed with vibrancy and contrast , my two favorite functions of photoshop. The outcome of the functions enhanced this picture and sharpened the image making a visually appealing piece.
|
Another Angle of the headphones. The color balance was pushed on the yellow end as opposed to the red side of its counterpart to create a similar but different photograph. Again, the vibrancy and the contrast functions were used. They enhanced the picture and sharpened the image to a point where it could be used in an advertisement.
