Chandra
24 Hours AwakeChandra was hesitant to let me take his picture, he thought I was going to photoshop him into nightmare fuel, and he was not wrong. While I took the editing seriously at first, he later became an experiment . This is the result at a serious first attempt, I used a mix of vibrancy, contrast, and curves to best bring out the aspects of the image. I used the perspective image to instill the illusion of Chandra looking at and angle, when in fact he was looking at the camera almost dead on.

Laser MummyFor this picture of Chan, I decided to mess with the colors. He was not really being serious when we took the photos. A friend gave him some ping pong paddles and told him to pose like a mummy. I snapped the photo of him in said stance. Clearing up the image took some time so I decided to fix it by turning him into a laser zombie. He was quite surprised by the results.

Reggie
A Soul's EyesI was taking pictures of my sister when we saw Reggie sitting on the couch. He was looking pretty majestic so I took a few quick picture with the macro lens. I didn't really know how to edit his pictures, so a little time was spent messing around. I settles on changing the contrast and the luminosity of his eyes. After all, the cats eyes are one of the most distinguishing aspects of the cat.

HeterochromiaThis was the second picture edited of Reggie. After messing with the layering, I decided that I was adept enough to try it in different ways. A fair number of cats have different colored eyes, I wanted to bring that fact out in this picture. Messing with the color curves and luminosity of the picture yielded some satisfying resurrects as well. Reggie looks like a different cat on each side of the picture.

Celeste
OnionCeleste was probably the most hesitant of the people. I had to bribe her into letting me take her picture. She was also one of the few people photogenic enough to demand time be spent into poses. This picture was the result of me telling he she looked hilarious in another photo. She shorty tried to grab the camera out of my had and look at it. I later told her that I was just pulling her leg.
|
SirenThis picture is the result of getting Celeste to pose. She looks much different than she does in in the other photos. Her earrings are often covered by her hair, leaving most people to not see them. But in this photo, they exist in plain sight. The way she wore her hair also added to the difference in the photo. Normally she lets it hangs in whatever way it was in the morning, after some preliminary combing of course. These elements worked together and created the best photo of these portraits yet.

Tommy
28 Hours AwakeTommy was one of the two perfect willing people to let me take him picture. This was taken at a robotics event so we were all extremely tired, we had been busily working all day. This was one of the few, in focus portraits I had taken. All the other were blurry enough to not use. Even then, this pictue still showed signs of imperfection. It was made black and white to lessen the impact of lines.
|
Awake Far Too LongThis pictue was pretty blurry, a friend slapped some tape on my back when I was taking the photo. I messed with the contrast, vibrancy, and color scale to make the picture look like unicorn vomit. With these changes one cannot tell that the picture was a blurring mess. The reaction of Tommy after the initial editing was confusion followed by a questioning of my sanity.

Jaylen
Barred RibbonJaylen was the second person that did not hesitate when I asked if I could take his picture. I didn't even have to ask him to pose, he went right ahead and posed without me even asking to. Unfortunately, most all of his photos were taken out of focus to most pictures turned out blurry. I chose to change the vibrancy of the picture to better bring out the differences in color in this black and white picture. The black and white canvas also lessens the impact of the blurry photo.
|
HereculesIn this photo, Jaylen was flexing. As this is a portrait the motion had to be cropped out. The contrast, color balance, and vibrancy was changed in this picture to better bring out the colors. The photo was also taken as he was moving, so there is a slight blur. I tried my best to remove the inaccuracies and smooth out the picture. The end product turned out to be alright.
